Okay, we're officially getting super antsy for summer.
With all the concert announcements and outdoor events going on lately, we're ready to dive in. And once Memorial Day weekend hits, it's pretty safe to say that summer has officially begun.
And as it always does, the summer is bound to go by way too fast. It seems like every year we blink and suddenly it's August.
So, we want to take advantage of summer while we can, starting in the month of June.
New York City seems just as ready for warmer weather as we are: there's tons of amazing stuff going down this month that you absolutely can't miss out on.
Check out our list below and get ready to kick off summer in the best way possible.
1. Global Running Day (June 1st)
Get out and run! New York City is rich in parks. Tons of them. Loads of them. We would say millions, but that'd be a lie.
Global Running Day is a day for people around the world to celebrate the joys of running. Participation is easy—just pledge to take part in some type of running activity on June 1, 2016. It can be a solo lap around the block, a long run with friends, or even a game of tag with your kids.

2. Atlantic Cup (June 1st - 3rd)
The Atlantic Cup, presented by 11th Hour Racing, is the first and only dedicated Class40 professional sailing race in the United States in which champion sailors from all over the world come together to compete for the crown.
This year, the event makes a stop at Brooklyn’s absolutely beautiful One˚15 Marina. It's going to be amazing, and a fantastic opportunity to take in some of the most beautiful waterfront sights that NYC has to offer.
And what's more, we've partnered with the event to giveaway 2 Pro-Am tickets aboard one of the competing Atlantic Cup boats as a crew member in the Atlantic Cup Pro-Am.

3. Governor's Ball (June 3rd - 5th)
It's officially music festival season. YAAS.
If you weren't able to get yourself to Coachella, fear not; Gov Ball is back for 2016 and better than ever. There are so many incredible artist playing this year, including The Strokes, CHVRCHES, Matt & Kim, Haim, M83, and Kanye West.

4. Lola Star's Dreamland Roller Disco (June 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th)
The name of the event says it all.
This event, going down in Prospect Park, gives us the chance to dress up in our wackiest attire and take to the rink for a true roller disco experience. Each week adheres to a different theme, such as "Divas of Disco" or "Prince vs. Michael Jackson."
Given Prince's recent tragic passing, people are sure to go all out in his honor. It's definitely not one to be missed. Buy tickets here!
5. DAYBREAKER WEEK (June 5th - 10th)
DAYBREAKER's a morning dance party community throwin' down all over the world. They get you pumped up for the workday with wellness-minded fitness classes and dance parties thrown in the early hours of the morning.
They're back in New York City for a whole week of inspiring movements for their second-ever DAYBREAKER Week. Starting Sunday, June 5th, DAYBREAKER's going nuts all over NYC for 5 days, at 5 different venues, with 5 different themes.

6. Midtown Love (June 9th)

7. Northside Festival (June 9th - 12th)
Listen up, indie-rock fans; you won't want to miss this week-long music festival going down in Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
And let's be real, if you are an indie-rock fan, there is a 75% chance that you already live in Williamsburg or Greenpoint. So there's really no excuse.

8. New York Road Runners New York Mini 10k (June 11th)
New York Road Runners is an amazing community organization dedicated to helping thousands of New Yorkers discover their life's passions and find inspiration through running.
The organization has been around for 58 years, and strives to serve all runners and active individuals, no matter what age or fitness level they're at.

9. Jazz Age Lawn Party (June 11th & 12th)
In an age when we have to wait until everyone is done Instagramming before we can eat our meals at a restaurant, it's nice to be able to escape back to a simpler time for a little bit.
The Jazz Age Lawn Party is the perfect solution; the annual event on Governor's Island invites guests dress up in their finest 1920s garb, sip on classic cocktails, and learn some killer old fashioned dance moves.

10. Good Catch Musical Improv (June 13th)
If you thought improv was equal parts impressive and terrifying, just wait until you've seen musical improv.
That's right - the folks at Good Catch continue their series at The People's Improv Theater, and will improvise an entire musical on the spot, based on audience suggestions. It's bound to be a pretty incredible, albeit unpredictable, night.

11. Weekend Starter Friday NYC Rooftop Bar Crawl (June 17th)

15. Pride Fest (June 26th)
New York City's annual event celebrating its LGBTQ community is back on June 26th! Bust out your finest rainbow gear and get ready for a freaking PARTY.
The march begins at 36th Street and 5th Avenue and ends at Christopher and Greenwich Streets, although if you're in Manhattan at all, you're bound to see some remnants of pride wherever you go. Which we're totally not mad at.
