1. Fuku
davidchang Lettuce & mayo are for pussies!! (actually we are heavy into r&d on a lettuce & spicy mayo fuku chicken sandwich)
Fuku is a new level of deliciousness.
Do you love fried chicken sandwiches? Great, then order food from Fuku, like, today, because they have some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the city.
They use dark meat that's incredibly tender and juicy, and the bun takes buttery softness to a completely new level. It's worth all the hype it gets and more.
Try it out for lunch, and do it early; these sandwiches are in high demand on Caviar.
2. Jack's Wife Freda (224 Lafayette Street)
jackswifefreda Morning for #MadameFreda Thanks for the pic 📷: @taliaamy
Ready for some brunch? Get your hands on the Duck Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich. It's served piping hot with duck bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar, and an absurd tomato jam.
Want more "traditional" lunch food? No problem. The Eggplant Baguette with tomato, mozzarella, and pesto is delicious.
Or try their Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast served with red onion, basil, radish, cherry tomatoes, and a fantastic shallot vinaigrette.
What's for dinner? They've got an incredible Fish a la Plancha that's soy-glazed over perfectly sautéed kale and radish.
Need the meat? Perfect. Their Sirloin Steak with Maitre d'hotel butter and french fries is ridiculous.
3. Lil' Frankie's
lilfrankies you know you want it... just #comeandgetit already! #comeandgetit at #lilfrankies #openlate #eastvillage #foodpic #foodporn #instayum #instafood #instagood #yummyinmytummy #lowereastside #les
The food at Lil' Frankie's is nothing sort of wonderful.
The star of the show has got to be the Gnocchi Pomodoro, though the Chicken Parmigiano definitely sent our tastebuds soaring.
Lil' Frankie's makes their own delicious pasta in-house, and serve up delicious pizzas baked to perfection in their wood-fire oven. It's as fine a taste of top-notch Italian cuisine NYC has to offer.
You want the most incredible, freshest Antipasto? The crunchiest, saltiest, most satisfying fried calamari? Order from Lil' Frankie's and treat yourself to something sensational.
4. Bar Primi
barprimi Pomodoro Baked Eggs for @theroamingkitchen. Thanks for coming in.
Trust us: try the Ricotta Bruschetta at Bar Primi before you die. It's got hazelnuts and truffle honey, and it's the perfect amount salty and sweet. We promise, if you eat this bruschetta, you'll find yourself still fantasizing about it days later which is perfect because you can get it the next day too.
Also, the stuffed meatballs are something special. The cheese inside is spectacular, and the meatballs themselves are bursting with flavor. Bar Primi is revolutionary.
5. Javelina
thirstyreveler The queso dip from Javelina. Love that ground beef on top! #fredeats #eaaaaats #supernomz #texmex #javelinanyc #nycmexicanfood #quesofresco
If you're craving the Tex-Mex delicacies of Texas, Javelina will satisfy that craving. It's definitely the kind of mouth-watering Tex-Mex food that's difficult to find in the city (believe us, we've looked).
The chips and salsa are tasty, and the queso is so on point, you'll find yourself pressing order again and again. When you do get the queso-- and you will --you're getting queso with ground beef, pico, and sour cream. You won't regret it.
Also, we've got to say; the pork enchiladas are near and dear to our hearts. Plus, the tamales are more than authentic. All-in-all, this is the best Tex-Mex restaurant in the city. That's not up for debate.
6. The Ribbon
vendordinnerdiaries Fried oyster deviled eggs with pickled jalapeños 🙌🏻 #drooling #eeeeeats #foodiegram #nycfoodgals #nycfoodie #grubcity #newforkcity #neverhangry #hungrybetches #infatuation
The Ribbon has such excellent, savory options: we're talking about their Sunday fried chicken, their Prime Rib of Pork, their Amish Chicken, fingerling potatoes, and a really unbelievable 'shroom burger.
The 'shroom burger is topped with roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, gruyere, and arugula. Plus, their fries are eerily always on point. Like, who gets fries that perfect every time?
If you treat yourself to a Ribbon Steak, which you should, your day just got made. Even if you were even having the best day ever.
7. The Meatball Shop
cheesy_travelers Mac & Cheese Meatballs over Rigatoni #CheesePlease #CheesyTravelers #AroundTheWorld
If you haven't yet experienced the wonders of The Meatball Shop, drop what you're doing, log onto Caviar, and order it now.
The Meatball Shop is one of the most splendid wonders about life in NYC. Their succulent, flavorful meatballs topped with decadent, tasty sauces really make life in this city worth living.
The Naked Spicy Pork Balls make our hearts flutter, and we swoon over the Mini Buffalo Chicken Balls. We mean it: we swoon.
Also, never trying the bucket o' balls during your time in this city is a mistake. Mark our words.
8. Babu Ji
babujinyc Tandoori rainbow trout | fresh ginger & honey | nutmeg | roasted cumin powder. #fish #tandoori #indian #babujinyc
Uh, the Scallop and the Chicken Curries at Babu Ji are insane. You've also absolutely got to have the Tandoori Chicken if you know what's good for you. It's marinated with ground spiced yogurt, topped with mango salsa and greens, and it's pretty overwhelming in its tastiness.
Our true hearts will always lie with the Southern India Lamb Curry. It's made with legs of lamb slow cooked with whole roasted fennel seed, black cardamom, bay leaf, clove, and a touch of coconut. It definitely makes us pretty happy about life.
9. Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken
hei02miyachi chef's special: beak to butt! (calm down, there's no beak!) just how i like it! crispy fried neck, back, hearts, gizzards doused with tangy, hot sauce & pickled peppers 👅🔥 cluck yeah!!! 🍴: @blueribbonfc #brfclv 🇺🇸: downtown summerlin, #lasvegas #buzzfeast#dailyfoodfeed#devourpower#eater#eeeeeats#foodbeast#foodcoma#foodproblems#foodnvibes#forkyeah#hangrydiary#huffposttaste#infatuation#instafood#igdaily#mindofachef#myfab5#photooftheday#spoonfeed#starvingfoodseeker#tryitordiet#truecooks#unlokt#vegasdining#vegasfoodie#waydirtydiet#yelplv
Did you know you could get this world-famous fried chicken delivered right to your door?
Well, you can. You can get the Wing Man, which is two whole wings served with fries or cole slaw, and slathered with your choice of sauce, or you can get the Drum Line: two drumsticks also served with fries and cole slaw and slathered with your choice of sauce.
Want dark wings? Want breasts? Want thighs?
You can have all of that, plus, you can order necks, backs, hearts, and gizzards, stopped with hot sauce and pickled peppers. Or, go crazy and try the fried chicken livers and caramelized onions.
All we know is, Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is out of this world, and you need to order it for lunch or dinner soon.
10. Umami Burger
umamiburger It's #tbt! Enjoy our favorite throwback jams in our restaurants today! 💃 #umamiburger 📷 @sanantoniofoodguy
Umami Burger has got it going on. Their Seared Ahi? Amazing. It's sesame-crusted ahi, mesclun mix, with sesame dressing and puffed rice. It's a truly special dish, but it doesn't even hold a candle to the maple bacon fries or the truffle fries at Umami Burger.
Of course, all the burgers are stars. The Sunny Side Burger is topped with parmesan frico, fried egg, truffle thyme compound butter, truffled arugula, and truffle aioli.
We really fell in love with the K-BBQ burger, and its gochujang glaze, caramelized kimchi, sesame aioli, Korean ketchup, and scallion-cilantro salad. It was game over once we'd tried that burger, but we keep going back again and again.
